Patient FAQs

  • We are currently open from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday

  • There are three options:

    1. Schedule an appointment online. via the Patient Portal at ccrhpatientportal.org

    2. Call Our Health Center Direct at 352-535-7342

    3. Request an Appointment Online, using this form “Request Appointment

  • If you’re a new patient, one of our Patient Care Navigators will help you determine which provider will be best for your specific needs. To see a listing of our providers, View Our Care Team.

  • Simply call our health center and let them know. Our Patient Care Navigators will work to reschedule your appointment.

  • Key information to bring to your appointment includes:

    • Photo Identification

    • Insurance Card

    • Medications List (medication, dosage, how often)

    • Immunizations Records

    • Any Other Information Pertinent to Your Visit

  • Transportation services are currently offered through UBER Health transportation services. Call the health center to coordinate transportation to your appointment.

  • Call 352-535-7342 or your local clinic number. Citrus County Rural Health provides an after-hours call service. If the call is regarding an immediate emergency or medical condition, please call 911 direct. Otherwise, a nurse will provide triage support or relay a message to our Patient Care Navigators the next business day.

  • One of our Patient Care Navigators will work directly with your current provider or specialist to get the records transferred. You’ll need to sign and provide a Medical Records Release Authorization. To download a copy, click here.

  • The fastest way to get your prescription refilled is to call your current pharmacy and request a refill. If you use the Citrus County Rural Health Pharmacy, call 352-535-7342 and select the Pharmacy Option.

  • Citrus County Rural Health can refer to many local providers. We’ll work with you to determine the best option, help work through any insurance issues, and coordinate appointments.

  • Citrus County Rural Health can refer to many local imaging providers. We’ll work with you to determine the best option, help work through any insurance issues, and coordinate appointments.

  • Call the health center directly and talk to one of our Patient Care Navigators. They’ll help direct you to the right person to help with your question.

  • It is best if you call your insurance company direct to determine if your specific need or service is covered. Citrus County Rural Health does accept most insurances. To see a list of the most common insurances we accept click here.

  • Citrus County Rural Health accepts all patients regardless of their ability pay. We accept self-pay patients and offer Sliding Scale payment options based on income. We also accept Medicaid and Medicare.

  • Citrus County Rural Health provides all patients the opportunity to use our Patient Portal for digital access to your health records, test results, appointments, bills, etc. through an app called Healow. To access the Patient Portal, click here.

  • Telehealth appointments are available for established patients. In-person appointments are currently required for your first appointment with a Citrus County Rural Health provider.
